Repsol finances SME Energy Efficiency Projects

Repsol Foundation, in Spain, is looking for innovative companies in the field of energy efficiency, under the support mechanism Entrepreneurs Fund. The initiative, which accepts applications until November 15, envisages a monetary support between 6,000 and 12,000 euros per month for a maximum period of two years, the projects of micro and small enterprises. The call is open to companies worldwide.

In addition to funding, the Repsol Foundation also provides technology, business and legal advisory services to selected companies. The idea, reinforces the entity, is developing the project “adapting it to the demands of the market” in order to make companies supported more attractive to capital inflows.

Constituted as the first private equity fund in Spain for energy efficiency, the initiative also includes support for ideas, as well as financing for micro and small innovative companies in the sector. In this case, funding is 2,000 euros per month for a year, until the ideas of business achieve sufficient for future business incubation process maturity.

This is the fourth application period Entrepreneurs Fund Repsol Foundation. The opportunity is open to any company in the energy efficiency and energy sector, including foreign entities, provided they remain in Spain during the support process. The vast majority (95%) of the selected previous call is Spanish. In this phase, the Foundation received applications from 747 projects, most of which related to energy production.
